Canterbury League Club is a leading hospitality group operating in Sydney’s Southwestern Suburbs. We are currently seeking a Chef de Partie to highlight their skills within our team. This opportunity is for someone who is passionate and wants to further their skills and career. About the Opportunity In this role you will primarily be supporting the Sous Chef, Head Chef and Executive Chef in operational requirements across all Canterbury outlets, as well as within the functions department, while ensuring that departmental goals are achieved. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following duties: - Manage and support the operation of the respective outlet(s), including functions, ensuring a seamless operation and efficient workflow in the kitchen.
- Produce exceptional results across our food and beverage outlets and functions
- Consistently create quality products in line with standard recipe cards
- Ensure the highest standard in preparation of food production and delivery including that the quality and presentation is as per Canterbury standards.
- Have a flexible approach to adapting to guest requests
- Multitask and work under pressure without compromising quality
- Actively supporting the kitchen team on service standards, techniques and procedures, whilst leading by example as well as guiding and motivating the team.
- Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Food Safety Procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with the ordering process.
About you To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes: - Formal Qualifications in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum of 2 years in similar qualified position, working in a high-volume kitchen
- Full working rights in Australia
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure without compromising on quality
- Ability to supervise, guide and train chefs.
- Current Safe Food Handling Certification
- Strong knowledge of HACCP
- Flexibility to work a rotating 24 hours, 7-day week roster including, mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays.
