Events Team Leader

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Events Team Leader to join our Events team on a full-time basis.

 

The Role

In this hands-on role, your primary focus will be to contribute significantly to the planning, preparation, and execution of all events held at Canterbury and its satellite venues along with supervising our events team whilst ensuring each event exceeds clients’ expectations.

 

Reporting to the Events Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee all operational aspects of each event including setup and pack down, briefing and training the events team prior to service and guiding team members in operational requirements to ensure expectations are met.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers in preparation for events.
  • Respond to client enquiries and concerns and addressing issues as they arise to ensure all matters are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Complete general administrative duties including preparing weekly reports and event run sheets.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: 

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills 
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Efficient time management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs
  • Knowledge of and experience using events programs (Event Pro desirable)
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating 7-day including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Valid NSW Competency Card
