Events Operations Supervisor

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Events Operations Supervisor to join our Events team on a full-time basis.

 

The Role

The Event Operations Supervisor is responsible for driving the seamless setup, execution, and pack-down of events across Canterbury and its satellite venues. You will supervise the event floor team, support logistics and operational flow, and maintain service excellence for every event – from intimate celebrations to large-scale functions, exhibitions, galas, and conferences.

 

Reporting to the Events Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee all operational aspects of each event including setup and pack down, briefing and training the events team prior to service and guiding team members in operational requirements to ensure expectations are met.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers in preparation for events.
  • Respond to client enquiries and concerns and addressing issues as they arise to ensure all matters are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Complete general administrative duties including preparing weekly reports and event run sheets.

 

About You

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: 

  • Previous experience in events, hospitality, conferencing, or a similar high-volume operational environment.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Efficient time management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs
  • Knowledge of and experience using events programs (Event Pro desirable)
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating 7-day including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Valid NSW Competency Card
